💡 Product Description
PBAT is a thermoplastic biodegradable plastic whose full name is Polybutylene Adipate Terephthalate (copolymer of polybutylene terephthalate and polybutylene adipate). This material combines the properties of polybutylene adipate (PBA) and polybutylene terephthalate (PBT), so it has good ductility and elongation at break, as well as good heat resistance and impact resistance. The raw materials of PBAT include 1, 4-butanediol (BDO), adipic acid (AA), and terephthalic acid (PTA). This material has a semi-crystalline structure, its melting point is about 130 degrees Celsius, and has excellent biodegradability, and can be decomposed by microorganisms under appropriate environmental conditions.
❓ Frequently Asked Questions
Is PBAT 100% biodegradable?
Yes, PBAT is a fully biodegradable thermoplastic that can be decomposed by microorganisms under appropriate composting or environmental conditions.
What is the main application for PBAT resin?
It is primarily used for blown film products such as shopping bags, garbage bags, and agricultural mulch, as well as disposable packaging.
Can I request a sample for testing?
Yes, samples are available for quality testing. Please note that sample fees and freight costs may apply.
What are the key mechanical properties of PBAT?
PBAT features high elongation at break (up to 400%) and excellent ductility, making it very similar to traditional low-density polyethylene (LDPE).
How is the material packaged for shipping?
The standard packaging is 25kg per bag, typically in PP woven or PE plastic bags, ensuring safe transport and moisture protection.
What is the typical delivery timeframe?
Normally, orders are delivered within 14 working days after payment confirmation, depending on the required quantity and material specifications.
